Compared with the cost of replacing your iPad twice, the cost of AppleCare+ may be worth it. Keep in mind that once your iPad is damaged, it's too late to sign up for AppleCare+.
3. Set up your iCloud account. First 5GB are free.
iCloud is built in to every new iOS device and Mac that Apple makes. It syncs all your devices so that you can access a photo you uploaded on your iPhone from your MacBook or view a document you created on your Mac on your iPad.
Apple offers 5GB of free iCloud storage for storing and sharing music, photos, calendars, contacts, documents, and other data.
4. Browse free apps.
Now for the fun part. The iPad has unlimited potential for customizing your perfect workspace, play space, or reading corner—or all three. Download free apps from the Apple store for starters. You can upgrade to paid apps later for the ones you use the most.
